STUDY GUIDES

Iron Winter offers a powerful entry point into conversations around identity, culture, climate change and resilience. Set in Mongolia’s Tsakhir Valley, the film follows two young herders navigating a brutal winter while carrying the weight of tradition into an uncertain future.

To support educators, we’ve developed a series of curriculum-aligned classroom kits designed to help students engage deeply with the film’s themes through discussion, analysis and creative learning.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Each kit includes:

  • Short documentary clips from the film

  • Structured lesson plans and learning pathways

  • Discussion prompts and group activities

  • Comprehension questions and extension tasks

Designed to be flexible, the materials can be used as standalone lessons or combined into a broader unit of work.
